Weather Update: IMD predicts light rainfall for Delhi, below normal max temp likely in northern plains

The India Meteorological Department has predicted light showers for the national capital on Wednesday and Thursday. Delhi logged a minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

As maintained by the weather department, a western disturbance is probably going to effect the weather of northwest India.

In the meantime, the weather agency has predicted that the maximum temperatures are likely to stand 'below normal' in the northern plains during the March to May span.

The IMD has predicted that the maximum temperatures are likely to remain 'below normal' in the northern plains which includes Punjab, parts of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during the March to May span.

According to the MeT, large areas of north, northwest and central India are likely to record above normal temperatures in this period. Parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh are also likely to log normal to above normal maximum temperatures during this span, the IMD forecast said.
