Video: Clash erupts between two Congress leaders during flag hoisting in MP

The Madhya Pradesh Congress was left red-faced after a clash between its two leaders broke out in Indore ahead of the Republic Day flag hoisting ceremony by Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Sunday.

According to a video posted by news agency ANI, two Congress leaders--Devendra Singh Yadav and Chandu Kunjir slapped each other outside the party office in Indore. However, the Two Congress were separated by the police and other Congress workers.

Though, the exact reason, that sparked the fight between two senior leaders, but the viral video clip states the two have been arguing with each other before indulging in a physical fight. Later, CM Nath reached the site and unfurled the tricolor.

On the other hand, both Yadav and Kunjir are relative lightweights in Congress Party. Kunj and his supporters have later escorted out the police present at the site.

The Congress which returned to power in MP after 15 years in 2018 has been dogged by factionalism in the state where loyalties of party workers are divided among CM Nath, former CM Digvijaya Singh, and former MP Jyotitraditya Scindia.
