Unidentified assailant bludgeon woman, her teen daughter to death while asleep

An unknown assailant allegedly killed a woman and her 18-year-old daughter when they were sleeping. The horrific incident happened on Wednesday, at the woman's resident in Uttar Pradesh’s Chak Miyan Poore Khurd village which falls under the jurisdiction of the Industrial Area police station in the trans-Yamuna locality.

The accused allegedly launched an attack on the woman's husband, who has been identified as Bajrang Bahadur alias Bajrangi. The victim’s husband has been admitted to a hospital for medical care.

According to reports, the accused did not attack victim’s 7-year-old granddaughter who was also sleeping with her at the time of attack. The woman’s daughter has been identified as Tanu Patel. The mother-daughter duo used to live in Chak Poore Khurd village.

The incident occurred when the woman and her family were asleep following dinner. The gruesome incident became known when the villagers noticed the two dead bodies on Wednesday along with the woman's injured husband, The Times of India reported.

Acting on the alert, the police, forensic experts and sniffer dogs squad arrived at the crime spot and launched an investigation into the matter. Preliminary investigation suggested that unidentified persons entered Bajrang's residence on Tuesday.

Bajrang's son had committed suicide a few years ago, after which, his wife left their minor daughter at home and left. Industrial area chowki in-charge Manoj Kumar said that several teams have been set-up to probe the matter and the accused will soon be taken into police custody.
