Shocker: Three youths blackmail woman with her intimate video clips, held

Three youngsters have been arrested by Cyber cell sleuths and Kotwali police on Wednesday for allegedly blackmailing and raping a woman.

According to reports in timesnownews.com, the survivor told police that she and one of the accused named Pushpendra Kushwaha (24) were in the same college. They were in a love with each other. However, Kushwaha took the advantage and allegedly filmed her obscene videos and later used the clip to blackmail her.

The survivor further told that Kushwaha raped her multiple times over the last year by showing her intimate videos. A few months later, Kushwaha another friend named Vishal Yadav also started blackmailing the woman. He also raped her by threatening her that they would circulate her intimate video on social media if she didn’t fulfill their sexual demands.

On Tuesday, Kushwaha called the woman to a deserted house and another friend, named Harsh Diwan also join them. However, the woman gathered courage and decided to report the crime to the police, according to a report by The Times of India.

After the woman’s complaint, the police immediately swung into action. On Wednesday, a team was formed from the cyber cell and the Kotwali police. All officials were wearing plain clothes in a bid to nab the suspects. The team raided the house after the woman entered and all accused were nabbed.

A case was registered against the three accused under sections 376D and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 67 of the IT Act.

DIG (Jhansi range) Jogendra Kumar appreciated the boldness of the girl as she helped in nabbing the accused. He further appealed that in such cases victims should immediately be approached the specially created woman cyber cell where quick action will be taken by keeping the identity of women secret.
