Rajasthan: Woman alleges gang-rape by husband, his brothers

A woman was allegedly gang-raped by her husband and his brothers in the Banswara district of Rajasthan. According to the woman, her husband and his two brothers also cut off her hair and threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed anything.

As per the victim, her husband sexually assaulted her along with his brothers in retaliation for a dispute.

In her complaint to the police, the victim told that she and her husband work as labourers in Gujarat. Both were coming to their village Garhi by car from Gujarat. On the way, her husband’s brothers also sat in the car.

Then the husband and his two brothers took the woman to Partapur, where they consumed alcohol. The accused persons stopped the car in a deserted area and tied the victim’s hands and gang-raped her one by one. They also cut off her hair.

The victim woman told police that she got scared after the incident and went to her maternal home with her 12-year-old daughter.

On the complaint of the woman, the police registered a case and started the investigation.
