PM Modi Should Intervene to Ensure Justice for Vinesh Phogat: MP Hanuman Beniwal

Nagaur: Member of Parliament Hanuman Beniwal has demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention in the case of wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who was allegedly mistreated during the Paris Olympics. Beniwal raised this issue in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, stating that simply tweeting about it would not suffice and that the Prime Minister should take concrete steps to ensure justice for Vinesh.

During the discussion on the Finance Bill, Beniwal also emphasized the need for a thorough review of the Finance Ministry's functioning and its various aspects. He argued that the Ministry's inefficiencies have a direct impact on the country's economy and that its effectiveness is crucial for the nation's economic well-being.

Beniwal also demanded a complete loan waiver for farmers, the reintroduction of the Old Pension Scheme for central government employees and paramilitary personnel, and the exemption of income up to Rs 10 lakh from income tax. He further requested that the prices of petrol, diesel, and domestic gas be reduced to control inflation and that tractors and other agricultural equipment be exempted from GST.

The MP also demanded that the government purchase farmers' entire produce at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and implement a policy to ensure this. He also called for the establishment of a Rashtriya Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, similar to the Pasupatat Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Beniwal raised several other issues in the Lok Sabha, including the need for uniform treatment rates in government and private hospitals, free health insurance of at least Rs 25 lakh for every citizen, and the establishment of a national-level dairy research center in Nagaur.

He also demanded that the Central Agricultural University, which was announced in the 2014-15 budget, be established in Nagaur. Beniwal requested that the government provide small leases to farmers for limestone mining and allow them to mine boulders on their land.

The MP further demanded that the ban on the transportation of Nagauri breed calves below three years of age be lifted, and that the Nagaur Medical College be granted permission to start its UG course soon. He also requested that the Bikaner-Nagaur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express train be made a regular service and named after Gorakshak Veer Teja Ji Maharaj.

Beniwal also demanded that the survey for the Falodi-Nagaur new railway line be extended to Jaiyal, Deedwana, and Kuchaman. He requested that new Kendriya Vidyalayas be established in Khinvsar, Parbatsar, and Didwana in Nagaur district, as well as in Medta.

Finally, the MP demanded that the government release funds for the construction of new buildings and classrooms in place of dilapidated government schools in Nagaur and other parts of Rajasthan.
