Madhya Pradesh shocker: Couple’s fight over 'cooking mutton' kills neighbour

In a shocking development coming in from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, a man beat-up his neighbour to death on Tuesday after the latter intervened in a fight between him and his wife.

The victim, identified as Billu made an attempt to end the fight between Pappu Airhwar and his wife over "cooking mutton on Tuesday". Many Hindus consider Tuesday an auspicious day and do not consume non-vegetarian food on this day.

Pappu’s wife opposed him cooking mutton on Tuesday, which led to a fight between the couple.

Hearing the commotion, Billu went to resolve the fight and returned to his home after settling the matter between the couple. However, later Pappu went to the deceased's home and thrashed him to death.

Following Billu’s unfortunate death, the police registered a complaint against Pappu on the basis of the statement given by his wife. Pappu was taken into police custody on the same day.
