Gurugram cop 'hires' contract killers to murder businessman

In a shocking incident of crime, the city police have booked a police personnel and four others for allegedly attacking and harassing a businessman. The accused policeman is stationed at Manesar police station. The incident occurred around two weeks ago.

As maintained by police, the accused policeman allegedly secured the services of contract killers to murder the businessman named Johrimal. The incident happened around two weeks earlier.

As per the report in Times of India, the businessman (Johrimal) in his police complaint alleged that the accused cop, identified as Praveen had been harassing him and also issued threats to him and his family. The businessman also alleged that he had registered complaints against the policeman many times but no action was taken against him.

However, the case was registered against the accused cop only on Monday following the intervention of senior police officers.

The police complainant stated he had gone to Manesar with his nephew Hari Krishan for a meeting. Following the meeting, the businessman stood outside the office of a property dealer in Manesar Sector 1 when a vehicle pulled over before him. One of the men came out of the car and launched an attack on him with a broken glass.

The businessman managed to elude the attack unhurt but his nephew sustained an injury on his hand. Later the businessman told his nephew that one of the attackers in the car was a cop.

The businessman, a native of Pachgaon, also stated that he was threatened by some criminals at the behest of the accused cop. Furthermore, the complainant said that Praveen used to come to his street in uniform and issued threats to him.

An alleged video clip of the accused cop has also gone viral where he could be seen talking about hiring contract killers to kill the businessman for Rs 5-5 lakh. An FIR has now been lodged against the accussed cop, four others under Sections 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323( causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code at Manesar police station.
