Delhi woman, her paramour allegedly strangulate husband to death
The Delhi Police has taken a woman and her paramour into their custody for allegedly murdering her husband, police said on Wednesday.
The accused have been identified as Bhuri Devi and Dinesh, both natives of UP’s Budaun district and Rajesh, they said.
On 8th September, police received a tip-off concerning the death of a labourer at a construction site near Gate Number 3, Malviya Nagar Metro Station.
The city police went to the location and recovered the dead body of Munish, aged 21. There were scratch marks on the neck of deceased, they said.
The autopsy analysis carried out at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), suggested manual strangulation/homicide as the cause of death.
In the time of investigation, it was revealed that Munish and his co-worker Rajesh were sent for some work on the terrace at around 8 pm on 7th September by the contractor. After finishing the work, Munish went to the first floor and Rajesh went to the ground floor to sleep, a senior police officer said.
Earlier on September 8, Munish was found in an unconscious condition, police said.
A team of police went to Budaun where the personnel got to know that Bhuri Devi, wife of the deceased, was allegedly having an extra marital affair with Dinesh. When Munish came to know about it, he and his father had admonished Dinesh, police said.
Dinesh was brought to the nationaal capital and has admitted to his role in the killing of Munish along with the help of Rajesh and Devi, DCP (South) Atul Kumar Thakur said.
“Dinesh sneaked into the construction site with the help of Rajesh. On 8th September, he strangulated Munish to death along with Rajesh, and ran away from the crime spot,” police said.
