CPI(M) youth wing leader rapes 6-year-old girl, hangs her to death

In a horrific incident reported from Kerala, the youth wing leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has been taken into police custody for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl and hanging her to death.

The minor victim’s corpse was discovered hanging in her room on 30th June, the incident happened in Kerala’s Idukki district.

According to reports, the accused used to entice the minor on the pretext of giving her sweets and kept on raping her for three years. As maintained by cops, the shocking incident happened on 30th June, when the accused was allegedly raping the girl.

At first, the cops had lodged a case of accidental death in connection with the incident. The post-mortem report of the monor girl, however suggested that she was sexually harassed for a long time. After this, the police became suspicious that the case was of murder.

The police is inclined to think that on June 30, the girl fell unconscious while she was being sexually abused and the accused feared that she may have died. later, the accused hanged her to death in the room. According to police sources, the accused confessed to subjecting the girl to sexual abuse during the probe.
