Every year, examinations for various vacancies are conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for the vacancies in the Indian Railways. As per the latest reports, the date for Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in the Ministry of Railways has been extended till March 31.
In the month of February, over 89000 posts — 26,502 vacancies for group C and 62,907 group D were announced after which the last date for set for March 12 for the exams that are to be held in the months of April and May, 2018.
Later, a lot of changes in terms of age, criteria and educational qualification were made in which many applicants faced a lot of trouble. One such trouble arose when people tried to modify the language of the exam.
Here are some of the important dates that should not be missed by the aspirants:
- Application last date – March 31, 2018
- Online payment last date – March 31, 2018
- SBI challan last date – March 31, 2018
- Post office challan last date – March 29, 2018
- Exam tentative date – April/May 2018
Here are the minimum percentage criteria for various categories:
- General category: 40%
- OBC: 30%
- SC: 30%
- ST: 25%
Education qualification:
The minimum qualification that is required for trackmen, helpers etc in Group D Level 1 recruitment was class 10 pass certificate and an Industrial Training Institute or equivalent certificate but the latter has been made optional now. If the aspirants have passed class 10th, they can also apply for the post without any technical certification.
