Railways Recruitment 2018: After 90,000 posts released by the Railways, more job opportunities to be expected

Indian Railways has brought various vacancies continuously from the beginning of the New Year. It has opened up the gate for the candidates to get employed in one of the biggest recruitment processes of Railways till the date.

All the interested candidates may check the more information regarding the number of vacancies on the official website of Indian Railways.

Recently, the Ministry of Railways has invited the applications on more than 26,000 posts for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technicians, which is considered as one of the huge vacancies in Railways. Whereas Indian Railways released a centralised notification to fill total posts i.e. 62,907.

The Southern Railway has also opened up the application process for Apprentice on 717 posts.

Railway Group D vacancy 2018:


Candidates who are willing to apply for the posts can go to the official website at indianrailways.gov.in. Here are the details of the posts.

As per the notification, the online application process got begin from 10 February 2018 at 10:00 am and will end on 12 March 2018 at 23:59 pm. The posts on which the vacancies are announced as follow: Track Maintainer, Gateman, Pointsman, Helper in Electrical/Mechanical/Engineering/Signal & Telecommunication departments, Porters & others.

There are 62,907 vacancies released by the board for Group D posts.

The last date for the submission of online form is 12 March till 10:00 pm.

Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) & Technicians posts

Candidates who are interested in applying can submit their online application on the official website of Indian Railways Recruitment Board. The application process has started from 3 February from 10:00 am to 5 March till 23:59 hours.

There are 26,502 vacancies for the post. The pay scale for the same Rs 19,900 including other allowances. A candidate should be between the age 18 to 28 years only. Age relaxation is only applicable for the reserved category candidates only as per the government guidelines. Whereas OBC will only get the 3 years age relaxation and 5 years for SC/ST applicants.

Qualification: Candidates must be 10th class and also have ITI/Diploma of Engineering before applying for this post.

Indian Railways recruitment board is continuously releasing various posts for the applicants to apply in Railways. So, its a chance that more opportunities for various posts in Railways also get released.
