UP Board Exam 2018: Is tight security, the reason behind 10 lakh students' dropout in the Class 10th, 12th examination?

Uttar Pradesh board examinations have begun from 6 February 2018. For conducting the examinations in the fair and transparent way the government has taken very serious and strict actions this year. The education mafias are getting impatient to do the mischievous activity that they used to do during the exam time. But from this year it seems to be difficult for such mafias because of the security arrangement.

As per the reports, this year number of students who had appeared for the exam is twice less than the last year record. Around 10 lakh of examinees had dropped the examination in the last four days after the commencement of the examination.

This year, nearly 66 lakh students who had registered for the board examinations for Class 10th and 12th. Within these four days and more than 10% of the students who have skipped the exam this year. Across the various centres for UP Board examination, Yogi government has gazed on the education mafias and majorly taken the steps like installing the CCTV cameras on all the centres as well as arranged the Special Task Force (STF) so that cheating and other malpractices can be minimised. But the record that has been noticed from the first day of exam seems to be hilarious as students are dropping the examination because of no cheating at the centres.

This shows the insincerity of students not only toward their exam but also their career too. As on Friday, there was an English paper for Class X whereas Mathematics for Class XII. According to the education department, the dropout rate in the two exams is always high but this year the rate get doubled. While the highest dropout figure was recorded in the year of 2016 when over 6.4 lakh students skipped their examination.

Recently, in Faizabad, there were more the one lakh students who dropped their respective UP Bard exam.

Although there were the speculations made by the experts that this dropout will increase but the results they found also make them shocked. However, the dropouts mainly of those students who were failed in the previous year conducted by the board as well as those who get enrolled in UP School only for appearing for the examination not for studying. But this time education mafia got failed in completing their promises for sure success in providing the cheat notes to the students just because of the security avail by the government in all examination centres.
