It’s not that much easy to get a government job in one go. A lot of hard work and struggle required to qualify the competitive examinations in the first attempt. It has been notified in the recruitment of many government exams that candidates could able to qualify the preliminary or main examination very easily but they were unable to get the success in an interview or group discussion. The reason behind this failure is just their fear or weakness on which aspirants worked with dedication.
This year, there were thousands of vacancies have been released in several government sectors like Railways, Metro and other administrative jobs. To beat the challenge of group discussion, it is necessary that candidates should be confident while presenting himself/herself in front of the interviewer or during the group discussion.

1. Be an extrovert:
It has been noted many times that candidates remain quiet during their interview or GD which leaves a bad impact on the mind of the interviewer.
So, avoid such a thing, try to be extrovert and speaks as much as you can but think before what you are saying.
2. Be a good listener:
Don’t speak too much, try to listen to other people during group discussion, so that you could understand another point of view about the same topic.
3. Focus on your posture and gesture:
One’s posture and gesture during interview or group discussion is a very important part of the selection process. Because it’s our personality that depicts our behaviour. So, work on yourself properly before going for interview/group discussion.
4. Be updated:
Before appearing for interviews or group discussion for government exams, it is mandatory that an interviewee should have all information about national and international topics. Because interviewers can ask anything from anywhere.
5. Know how to counter arguments:
Don’t jump in between discussion, because it leaves a bad impact. Try to do counter in a polite manner and keep your point either by raising your hand or by saying that you disagree or you have a different opinion.
