ICAI CPT June online registration begins! Know important details about CPT exam

The online registration process for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Common Proficiency Test (CPT) has begun. Candidates who are not applied for the exam should submit their online application by visiting the official website at icaiexam.icai.org.

The last date to apply for the exam is 24th April 2019 through a prescribed format.

Last year, the syllabus of chartered accountancy subject was revised by ICAI and included topics like Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the course.
Candidates who will pass the CPT will be considered eligible for the registration of Intermediate (IPC) Course.
The examination will be conducted in two sessions on 16th June 2019.

Check out the details of exam timings:

• Morning session: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

In this session, candidates will have to answer two sections i.e. Section A and B.

• Section A – Fundamentals of Accounting
• Section B – Mercantile Laws

• Afternoon session: 2 pm to 4 pm

In this session, there will be two sections i.e. Section C & D.

• Section C – General Economics
• Section D – Quantitative Aptitude

Know eligibility criteria to apply for ICAI CPT:

Interested candidates should have passed Class 12th or equivalent to appear for the examination.

However, applicants should appear for the examination on or before 30th June 2019.

ICAI CPT will be a paper-pencil mode and the duration of the exam will be four hours. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

Examination fee:

Candidates will have to submit their application form fee via online mode either by using visa or master credit/debit card or net banking.

• Application fee for Indian application: Rs 1000
• Application fee for candidates in Kathmandu (Nepal)- Rs 1700
• Application fee for centres in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai and Muscat: $ 300
