Ahead of the CBSE Class 10th, 12th board examination, a news report on social media claimed that students will only get the class 10th, 12th board exam admit card after qualifying for the pre-board exams. Due to this circular, a lot of confusion has been raised among the students and teachers.

The article shared on Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp, said that the pre-board examination would be held twice and students need to qualify for both exams to get the admit card for final board exams scheduled from May 4 to June 10 in an offline mode.

After this viral news, the fact check department of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) called the news as a ‘fake’ and dismissed the claims made by the article.

According to a tweet by PIB Fact Check, “In the news, it is being claimed that those students who pass pre-board exams will get the admit card for board exams. This claim is false. CBSE has not made any such announcement.”

Earlier on December 31, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10th and class 12th board exam will be held from May 4 onwards. While the result of the key examinations will be declared by July 15, Nishank said.

CBSE affiliated schools were informed to conduct the practical project/internal assessment of Class 10 from March 1 to the last date of conduct of theory exams.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the board has clarified that the CBSE Class 10th, 12th board examinations will be conducted offline mode only.
