KL Rahul hit his maiden century of the Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians last night. Despite conceding 25 runs in an over, Hardik Pandya went and hugged Rahul after he scored hundred runs. This gesture of Hardik Pandya is rare to see in modern day cricket. Hardik and Rahul are very good friends off the field so the reaction was expected.

Mumbai Indians won the match despite KL Rahul and Chris Gayle scored some fantastic runs for their team. Mumbai beat Punjab by 3 wickets as their stand-in captain Kieron Pollard scored 83 runs off 31 balls to take their team to finishing lines.
KL Rahul played a fantastic 64-ball 100 run knock to score his first IPL century, while Chris Gayle hit a quick 36-ball 63 before he was dismissed by Jason Behrendorff. Mumbai Indians did not had an ideal start by skipper Kieron Pollard took them from 62 runs to 194 before he was dismissed by Ankit Rajpoot in the last. But it was too late for Punjab as Alzarri Joseph and Rahul Chahar won the match for them.
KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya were criticised a lot for their misogynist comment on a Television show ‘Koffee with Karan’. BCCI took action against both the players as they were called back from India’s tour of Australia earlier this year. The Supreme Court of India appointed an ombudsman who will look into the matter.
