Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is currently leading his team in the ongoing World Cup in England and Wales is all set to be rested against West Indies. India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah will also be rested for the series that India will play against West Indies starting from August 3.

“Virat and Jasprit will certainly be rested for the three-match T20Is and three-match ODI series. Virat has been playing since start of Australia series and Bumrah’s workload management is also paramount. They will join the team before the Test series,” an official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was quoted as saying by PTI.
It is also being reported that cricketers like Krunal Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Rahul Chahar will also be included in the squad for the three-match T20I series.
India is currently playing in World Cup where they beat Afghanistan by 11 runs recently and are one of the two teams with 100 percent win ratio. India will play their next match against West Indies at Old Trafford, Manchester where they defeated Pakistan on June 16.
