Pakistan fast-bowler Mohammad Hasnain began his Big Bash League (BBL) exploits with a bang as the pacer scalped three wickets in his first ever over in the T20 league against Adelaide Strikers.
Hasnain got rid of Matthew Short, Jake Weatherald and Jonathan Wells in the third over of the match to foil the Strikers' run-chase of 173 runs.
The batting side had a tough time to get going early on as they were reduced to 25/3 after they could not cope with Hasnain's pacey deliveries backed by a touch of late swing.
Here's a look at the three wickets scalped by Mohammad Hasnain in his first ever BBL over:
Batting first, Sydney Thunder displayed extraordinary power-hitting skills to put up a big total of 172 runs in their stipulated 20 overs.
Matthew Gilkes starred with the bat to play a knock of 93 runs off 57 balls. However, Strikers' bowlers got themselves back in the game and did not let any other batsman take control in order to stop the side well below the 200-run mark.
Peter Siddle and Wes Agar were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each to their names.
In response, Strikers could only amass 144 run in the 20 overs, losing the match by 28 runs.
Harry Nielsen was the top run getter for the Strikers with a knock of 39 runs but was not able to guide the team past the finishing line.
Mohammad Hasnain concluded the game with the figures of 3/20 in his four overs.
