1- NIA files charge sheet against Islamic preacher Zakir Naik

The National Investigative Agency (NIA) on Thursday filed charge sheet against Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) president and preacher Zakir Naik in its special court here.

Naik has been booked on charges of incitement of terror activities and hate speech among youth.

Earlier in July, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) at the request of the NIA revoked Naik's passport under the provisions of the Passport Act, 1967.

2- Nawaz Sharif holds 'positive' meeting with Saudi royals

Ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has held meetings with a few members of the Saudi royal family which is dubbed 'positive' by a couple of insiders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

"At this stage, we cannot comment on how these meetings will shape the political scene in Pakistan, but one thing is for sure, these [the meetings] were positive," reported the Dawn quoting a close source to the former Pakistan PM as saying.

Sharif on Monday left London for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, changing his return plan to Pakistan.
