MS Dhoni stars in a charity football match ahead of Australia's tour of India
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni played a charity football match in Juhu, Mumbai earlier this week. Dhoni played the match alongside a few celebrities, including Bollywood actors Aparshakti Khurana and Dino Morea.
The charity match he played was ahead was Australia’s tour of India where MS Dhoni is included in for T20I and ODI series. Notably, the Indian cricketer had also taken part in a similar charity football match in Mumbai last year.
Dhoni is in India’s squad for the T20I and ODI series against Australia that will start from February 24. MS Dhoni will also feature in the World Cup team if he stays fit till May after which he may hang his boots from ODI cricket as well.
India will be going in the World Cup as everyone’s favorite along with England. But before that India will have to finalise a batsman for their number four slot. MS Dhoni is the most talked about player after Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik for the job. Rishabh Pant too have a chance for the spot.
The 12th edition of the World Cup will start from May 30th and will end on July 14th. Unlike the previous tournaments, this time ICC will follow the round-robin format, which means each team will play each other at least one time before the top four teams qualify for the semi-finals. The first match of the tournament will take place between host England and South Africa.
