World Cup winning skipper MS Dhoni who led team India to glory in 2011, made an impression among the indian cricket fans with his wicket keeping gloves which had an Indian Army’s “Balidan” emblem on it during the World Cup 2019 campaign opener against South Africa in Southhamton on Wednesday.

MS Dhoni who seems to be in great run of form, since the IPL 2019, created some thrilling moments behind the wicket in India’s win against South Africa at the Rose Bowl.

 

After stumping Andile Phehlukwayo, the Army crest, which was clearly visible, symbolises the regimental dagger pertaining to the Indian Para Special Forces.

Within no time the picture of Dhoni’s gloves flooded the social media, after which, fans expressed their love and respect for the former Indian skipper.

Dhoni recieved an honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2011 and has gone through training for a brief period. During his training Dhoni is believed to have indulged in many activities including parachute jumps.

His love for the force has never been a secrete as he has always shown his desire of joining the Army.

Earlier this year, MS Dhoni and Indian team wore army caps during the ODI match where they faced Australia at Ranchi as a tribute to the CRPF jawans who lost their lives in Pulwama attack.
