Here's what Virat Kohli said to Proteas fielders after DRS appeal in 3rd Test, video goes viral
The day one of the ongoing third Test between South Africa and India definitely lived up to its billings. The ups and downs on Day 1 suggested that the decider could well be headed towards a fitting conclusion to a well fought series.
Except for the quality of the South African bowlers on display team India, were led by a confident skipper Virat Kohli, something that reflected on his movements, footwork and a spate of masterful strokes.
However, the Indian skipper did find himself in the middle of some chit-chat on the field on certain occasions. One such incident took place when there was a massive caught-behind appeal against him off Duanne Oliver's delivery.
DRS showed there was a tiny spike on the UltraEldge, but, further slow-motion replays show the ball kissing the thigh-pads instead of the bat.
While the visibly shocked South African players stood firm on their ground, Kohli and opposition skipper Dean Elgar got involved in a chat which ended with the latter shaking his head in disbelief.
However, regardless of all the events that happened, the image of Kohli standing in front of the South African fielders ironically shows, how Kohli was India's lone fighter last night.
Reactions to that picture came from all around of the cricketing circle.
Checkout some reactions:
Virat Kohli was at last dismissed for 79 runs as he ran out of partners towards the end of the innings. India finished with 223 runs on the scoreboard.
In response, South Africa were at 17/1 at Stumps as they lost the key wicket of captain Dean Elgar to Jasprit Bumrah.
