Entire Pakistan team fined along with Jason Roy and Jofra Archer for breaching ICC code of conduct

Yesterday was a good day for Pakistan as they won their first match of World Cup 2019, while England faced a bad day when they lost by 14 runs. While Pakistan celebrated their win their entire team was fined after the match for breaching International Cricket Council’s (ICC) code of conduct.

Pakistan was ruled to be one over behind the rate, resulting in a 20 percent fine for skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and 10 percent for his 10 teammates. While Jason Roy was fined for using obscene language after mis-fielding in the 14th over of the match. Roy was fined 15 percent of his match fee after he pleaded guilty.

Pakistan maintained their ‘unpredictable tag’ after they beat England by 14 runs just days after losing to West Indies by 7 wickets in a low scoring match at the same venue. England were the favorites to win the match after they defeated Pakistan in an ODI series by 4-0 before the World Cup.

Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka on June 7 and England will play against Bangladesh on June 8 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

Pakistan will play their arch-rival India on June 16 at Old Trafford, Manchester. Pakistan has never won a World Cup match against India before and they will look to break this embarrassing record.
