DDCA honours Virender Sehwag at Feroz Shah Kotla but makes huge blunder
In an event turned out to be a huge blunder, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has committed a major mistake while hounouring former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag by naming Gate No 2 of Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi.
Former explosive batsman has also payed gratitude for DDCA on the occasion of inauguration event on Tuesday, along with members of the Indian cricket team which included coach Ravi Shastri, Ashish Nehra.
During the event, Sehwag told the reporters, "It's an honour to have a gate named after me at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. I remember when I started off I used to daily cross this gate and now it has my name."
In a banner adorning the gate it was written that Sehwag was the "only Indian to score a triple century in Test cricket."
But DDCA did a blunder after forgeting the name of Karnataka cricketer Karun Nair.
And then, it was Karnataka Ranji team’s Twitter page who pointed out the glaring mistake committed by DDCA and said that Karun Nair did score a triple century in tests.
