BCCI might punish MS Dhoni for inviting his wife Sakshi Dhoni to stadium
After the controversy surrounding his gloves, MS Dhoni has now landed in another trouble as he invited his wife Sakshi Dhoni to the stadium during India’s first World Cup match against South Africa. According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) wives and girlfriends (WAGs) rule, no Indian player can invite their partner for the first 20 days of the tournament.
The incident came to light when Sakshi Dhoni shared a picture of her cheering for team India at Rose Bowl stadium in Southampton. Sakhsi was there with her daughter Ziva Dhoni as her Instagram account shows. Sakhsi shared the picture through her personal Instagram handle where she along with her daughter can be seen sitting in the stands.
Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had directed the cricketers to not invite their partners to accompany them for the first 20 days from the unit’s tour to England and Wales.
MS Dhoni played a crucial knock of 34 runs and notched up a partnership of 74 runs with Rohit Sharma when India needed someone to build an innings. MS Dhoni came into the tournament after a great IPL season and with a hundred against Bangladesh in a warm-up match.
