Shahid Kapoor is offered this much amount for Jersey remake after blockbuster Kabir Singh?

Shahid Kapoor has shown his box office power with his last released blockbuster film Kabir Singh. Although, this Sandeep Vanga Reddy directorial started with mixed reviews but despite that, it turned out a blockbuster at the box office. The film opened a discussion on the most controversial topics like toxic masculinity, alcoholism, and drug addiction. However, Kabir Singh is what Shahid Kapoor was looking out from a long time.

After the blockbuster response to Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has signed another Telugu remake film. The actor will star in Hindi remake of Telugu film Jersey, the film will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who also directed the original film starring Nani. Shahid Kapoor took a long time to decide on the project as he was in two minds that he should take another Telugu remake after Kabir Singh or not.

However, finally yesterday the official announcement of the film was made and it was announced that Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey remake will release in August 2020. Interestingly, Shahid Kapoor has been paid a huge amount for Jersey remake.

According to the reports, Shahid had charged around 35 crores alongside 30 per cent of the profit share. It means after 35 crores, whatever the film will earn at the box office and collect profit, Shahid will take 30 per cent of it. Suppose if the film gets made in 50 crores budget and went on collecting 100 crores at the box office. Then Shahid will also charge 30 per cent of that 50 crores profit.

It is being told that this is the highest amount that Shahid Kapoor is being paid for and if the films go same as what Kabir Singh did then he will continue with this amount.
