Alligator attacks swimmer, bites his arm; terrifying video goes viral

In a shocking incident, an alligator attacked a man who was swimming in a lake in Brazil. The incident took place on Saturday at the Lago da Amor in Campo Grande.

It is a popular place for tourists to visit but prohibited for swimmers due to the presence of alligators in it. It seems that this swimmer ignored the guidelines and went to take a dip in the lake.

The incident was captured by Willyan Caetano, who spotted the man entering the lake at around 04:40 pm. When he was swimming, an alligator started chasing the swimmer and before he came out of the water, the dangerous reptile attacked him and bit his arm.

According to Caetano, he left surprised after seeing an alligator chasing him. However, the man tried to swim fast to escape from the gator but it managed to attack the man and gave him a violent bit on his arms. The man left scared after he came out of the water and his arm was bleeding. The swimmer can also be heard saying that he wasn’t aware that there was an alligator, Caetano told.

As per reports, locals gathered around the injured man and alerted Mobile Emergency Care Service after the attack. Luckily, the swimmer didn’t suffer any major injuries.
