Has your doctor ever checked your eyes with a mobile phone? If not, then a doctor from the US used an Apple iPhone for his patient’s eye checkups.
He did the eye checkups with a newly launched iPhone 13 series which has introduced macro photography that can even help in checking a patient’s eye. Yes, you read it right!

A doctor named Dr Tommy Korn, an ophthalmologist based in San Diego, is using his iPhone 13 Pro Max to check his patients’ eyes.
He also shared photos of the eyes of one of his patients, who recently underwent a cornea transplant. He revealed that the eyes pictures of his patient were taken from iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Doctor Korn also said that iPhone’s macro feature “to use as an ophthalmologist” helped him convinced his wife to upgrade his phone.

"I use this camera to document patient photos and attach them to my records with a few taps," Dr. Korn told PetaPixel.
He also sent the pictures to the patient’s phone so that they have a record as well. The ophthalmologist also said that his patients can take their eyes photos at their home and send them to work with him remotely.
