Turkey on Saturday arrested at least 51 foreigners over their alleged links to the terror group Islamic State (IS) in Istanbul, a police source said.
The source was quoted by Anadolu News Agency as saying that simultaneous raids were carried out by the Turkish counter-terrorism squads to nab the suspects, who were reportedly planning to carry out terror attacks.
The police also seized digital tools and documents that were linked to the IS.
Turkish security forces have either arrested or detained hundreds of people suspected to be IS terrorists in the past several months.
More than 300 people lost their lives in IS-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror group has targeted civilians in the suicide bomb, rocket, and gun attacks.
