A week after a dengue patient died in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj district after hospital staff allegedly transfused poorly preserved platelets instead of plasma, another video has surfaced on the internet that shows the brutality of hospital staff towards patients.
In the video, a nurse can be seen grabbing a woman patient by her hair and forcefully took her to a hospital bed. The video clip of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms.

The incident took place in Sitapur District Hospital. After the clip went viral on the internet, the hospital authorities came out in support of the nurse and defended her actions, claiming that the woman patient was not subjected to any kind of ill-treatment.
Sitapur's Chief Medical Officer Dr RK Singh, said that the patient was admitted to the district hospital on October 18. The following night, after her family members left the hospital, the woman silently went near the washroom ad started behaving violently. The incident took place between 12:00 to 1:00 am.
"She started breaking her bangles and tearing off her clothes. This triggered panic among the other female patients at the ward and the hospital staff had to intervene to restrain her," Dr Singh claimed.
Defending the nurse’s actions, Singh said that the patient had to be restrained and pinned to the bed before administering an injection to calm her down.
"Only after that, she calmed down and was later discharged from the hospital when her family members arrived," he said.
