Indians woke up to dense fog on Saturday pushing the air quality at severe category. Today’s temperature rises one notch above with minimum temperature at 9.0 degree Celsius and maximum at 17.0 degree Celsius as per IMD (India Meteorological Department).
As per IMD, fog blanketed several parts of Delhi, UP, Haryana, Jharkhand, Punjab, Bihar, Assam and Meghalaya today morning. Meanwhile, 'very dense fog' was observed at isolated parts over north Rajasthan, Punjab and Chandigarh.
Owing to the dense fog more than 17 trains and 46 flights are running late. The operations have not been halted completely as flights have been diverted till Saturday midnight.

IndiGo airline took to their Twitter handle to inform their passengers by saying, “There have been significant flight disruptions today due to bad weather & air traffic congestion at Delhi. Our staff are there to provide any assistance that you may need.”

On Saturday the overall air quality index in Delhi recorded 429. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe', while the AQI above 500 falls in the 'severe plus' category.
