Delhi witnessed cloudy morning on Tuesday with minimum temperature settling at 10 degree Celsius and maximum temperature at 18 degree Celsius. Today, city might witness light rains accompanied with thunderstorm towards evening or night.
While rains continued to lash most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday even as the minimum temperature settled several degrees above normal in the two states. In Haryana, Ambala, Hisar and Karnal recorded their respective minimums at 10.2, 10 and 11.2 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal, an official of the Meteorological Department said on Tuesday.
Dense fog (at 0530 IST of today) observed at isolated pockets over West Bengal & Sikkim and Bihar and Moderate fog at isolated pockets over Assam & Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, East UP, Bihar and Tripura.

The Air Quality Index is recorded to be “very poor” at 325, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data. “Air quality is forecast to improve to the lower end of ‘very poor’ to the ‘poor’ category by Tuesday. No quick deterioration in AQI is expected for this week,” a SAFAR report stated.
