The daytime temperature in several parts of the country is expected to increased by 2-4 degrees Celsius in the next five days, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said on April 10.
Weather Forecast
The weather department has witnessed a trough in easterlies that runs from north Kerala to north Madhya Maharashtra at lower tropospheric levels, along with a cyclonic circulation that lies over northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining south Pakistan at lower tropospheric levels.
- Under the influence of these disturbances, light to moderate isolated rain along with thunderstorm are expected in parts of Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada in the next five days.
- Light to moderate isolated rainfall and thunderstorm, along with lightning/gusty winds, are expected in parts of South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu on April 10 and April 11. Same weather activities are likely in Kerala in the next 5 days.
- No significant weather activity in the rest parts of the country.
Maximum Temperature of last 24 hours
The daytime temperature settled at 39 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country, except in North Gujarat where is in the range of 39-40 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is below 2-4 degrees Celsius below normal in parts of interior Maharashtra and south Madhya Pradesh.

According to the weather department the daytime temperature is very likely to rise gradually by 2-4 degree Celsius in several parts of the country.
Heat Wave Warning
No heat wave conditions are expected in any part of the country in the next 5 days. However, strong surface winds (20-30 km/ph) are expected in parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on April 11 and April 13.
