Delhi's Patiala House Court on Wednesday sent Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik to judicial custody till May 24 in connection with the 2017 terror funding and conspiracy case.
Tihar jail authorities also moved an application seeking direction from the court to produce the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) leader through video conferencing due to security concerns, to which the court asked the defence counsel to reply.
Malik had earlier been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and had got his custody from the special court till April 22.
Malik was arrested a couple of weeks after the Central government banned the JKLF saying that the outfit led by former militant leader Malik was actively engaged in inciting secessionism and illegal funnelling of funds for fomenting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
