PM Modi asks How's the Josh? Twitter replies 'Josh Hai Job Chahiye' amid 2019 union budget

Amid 2019 union budget #JoshHaiJobChahiye is trending on social media, criticising PM Narendra Modi led-NDA government’s curbing of National Statistical Commissions (NSSO) data over job loss and unemployment.

According to the report published in Business Standard, the unemployment rate has been at 4 decades high. The unemployment rate is at 6.2% post demonetisation compared to Manmohan Singh led-UPA government’s 2.2% during 2011-12.


The National Sample Survey Office has conducted a nation wide survey where the report was ready in December last year but the government had no intention to release it ahead of the Lok Sabha elections of 2019.

In absence of finance minister Arun Jaitely, Piyush Goyal was appointed as the interim finance minister. Arun Jaitley is in United States for his medical treatment.
