Lucknow: Father rapes daughter for 15 years with mother’s consent

A horrific incident was reported from Lucknow where a 21-year-old daughter was raped by her father for 15 long years. The incident came to light when the victim approached an NGO, who then reported the police and rescued the girls.

The 44-year-old accused has been charged for raping his daughters under the POSCO Act, 2012 (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) and causing miscarriage without a woman's consent and criminal intimidation. As per the reports, the victim accused her mother of giving her abortion medicines and contraceptives to her husband.

The woman, who lived with her family in Chinhat at the outskirts of Lucknow, approached the police when she saw her father sexually abusing her younger sister. Further, in her statement, she stated that with the course of time her father became aggressive and began giving her sexually explicit letter. Her two brothers aged 18 and 8 years knew about this ordeal their sisters were facing but never opposed or raised their voice.

As per TimesNow reports, victim’s father started sexually abusing her when she was just 6- year-old and by now she accepted her fate given by her father but could not withstand when her father started abusing her younger sister also.

On seeing this she mustered her courage and seeks NGO’s help who then reached out to police and rescued the girls from their home. The girls have been sent to the Child Welfare Committee’s shelter home.
