MTV recently announced the nomination for 2017 MTV video music awards and it seems we might get to see some cat fight between Besties Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and their friend-cum-enemy Katy Perry.
Selena is nominated for her song 'We Don't Talk Anymore' with Charlie Puth. Taylor is listed for her song 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' with Zayn Malik, while Perry is named for her work with Swift's ex Calvin Harris and Pharrell on Feels.
Recently Taylor called out Perry in her hit song Bad Blood, which was released in 2014. While talking to Rolling Stone swift had said, “For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not.”
“She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'” Then last year, the other star crossed a line. “She did something so horrible,” Swift says. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies."
'And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”
Katy Perry had also called Swift a Mean Girl on Twitter. While talking to Telegraph Perry said, “It’s not real if someone appears to never have any issues with anyone,” she said. “I have my friends. I have enemies. I have bad days when I don’t want to go to a photo shoot, but I’m not going to show up four hours late. I’m going to be there on-time. I’m not nice all the time, but I try not to be carelessly rude to people who don’t deserve it.”
