700+ Teachers Trained in Yoga Ahead of International Yoga Day

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) :  The district will host massive collective yoga programs on International Yoga Day, June 21. Preparations are underway to train teachers and volunteers in common yoga protocols. On Wednesday, around 700 teachers and employees were trained at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management.

Over 2,000 government and private middle, high, and higher secondary schools, colleges, polytechnics, and ITIs in the district will participate in the collective yoga programs. According to District Education Officer Ajay Katiyar and District Yoga In-charge Dinesh Chouhan, around three lakh students and citizens will participate in collective yoga exercises.

The training program was organized by the Education Department and District Council Committee in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) and Arogya Bharati. District Project Coordinator Ravindra Singh Tomar has instructed each government primary and middle school to send one teacher for training, who will then conduct common yoga protocol exercises in every village and ward on International Yoga Day.

Upcoming Programs

District Yoga In-charge Dinesh Chouhan announced that the second phase of training will take place on June 15 in Dabra Block and June 19 in Bhitarwar Block. Trained teachers will conduct common yoga protocol training in government and private schools, as well as other locations. Yoga institutions, NCC, NSS, Scout Police personnel, various training institutions, voluntary organizations, industrial organizations, and citizens will participate in the collective yoga program.
