Portugal and Juventus F.C star Cristiano Ronaldo has become a member of billion-dollar club which makes him the only footballer in the history of the sport to arrive at the landmark. The portuguese star is also the first one to do so in a team sport.
Cristiano Ronaldo is only the third player to arrive at the feat while still playing. Golf legend Tiger Woods and boxer Floyd Mayweather were the other athletes to attain the milestone.
The 35-year-old earned USD 105 million before taxes and fees in the past year, taking him to No.4 spot on the 2020 Forbes Celebrity 100, one place ahead of Barcelona’s Leonel Messi.
As maintained by Forbes, Cristiano Ronaldo has earned USD 650 million on the pitch during his 17-year career and is expected to reach $USD 765 million in career salary with his current contract, which ends in June 2022.
The football star is also the most-followed sports star in the world on Facebook and Instagram.
