Union Budget 2022: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the fourth budget of the Modi 2.0 government on February 1. During her speech, FM Sitharaman proposed to set up a digital university to provide access to students across the country.

Digital University to be set up to provide access to students across the country, to world-class quality universal education, with personalized learning experience University to be built on a network hub and spoke model, with the collaboration of best public Universities, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.
Through this facility, students will get a world-class quality education with ISTE Standards.

She further said that the One-class-one-TV channel of PM eVidya to be expanded from 12 to 200 TV channels. This will enable all states to provide supplementary education in regional languages to children in classes 1-12.

One-class-one-TV channel will be implemented to provide supplementary education to children to make up for their loss of formal education due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Recognising the importance of 'Nari Shakti', Sitharaman said three schemes were launched to provide integrated development for women and children.
