The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be going to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in the 20 different languages now. Yes, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has directed CBSE to conduct the exam in 20 languages. Therefore, CBSE will go to approach Delhi High Court to seek more time to hold the exam.
Earlier, the CTET exam which is conducted for the recruitment of teacher in government school i.e. for classes 1st to 5th class and for 6th to 8th class. CBSE likely to conduct the exam on 16th September in 92 cities. According to CBSE sources, because of the HRD Ministry direction, all exam likely to be delayed.
HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar took to Twitter and announced about the new pattern for CTET examination.

CTET examination will be conducted in all Indian languages as was being conducted earlier. I have already directed @cbseindia29 to conduct examination in all the 20 languages as was being done earlier.

Earlier, CBSE had announced the examination schedule for CTET exam this year only after the decision announced by Delhi High Court in April to conduct the exam within four months. However, CBSE conducted CTET exam in 2016.
The issue regarding the language was raised when applicants pointed out that the language options for CTET this time were limited to English, Hindi and Sanskrit. While political parties in Tamil Nadu considered it as an attempt to impose the languages like Hindi and Sanskrit on the state.
