CBSE introduces new policy, no more ‘failed’ word on marks sheet

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon start Board examination for class 10 and 12 across the country. Students have already started their preparation for the examination. Amid CBSE has made a big announcement for students to cut down the pressure among students.

The education board has decided to remove the ‘Failed’ tag being given to the student. Under this new policy, candidates who would fail to bring the minimum marks in their examination, there won’t be ‘failed’ word will be written on the CBSE mark sheet.

The CBSE has decided to sue 'Compartmental' instead of 'Failed' in the CBSE marks sheets from now onwards.

CBSE is trying to reduce such instance by doing away with these two negative words from its marksheets.

Also, the board has asked from its affiliated schools and regional offices to decide on the replacement terms that can be used on the CBSE mark sheet instead of ‘failed’.

According to the reports, the board has suggested some words like 'special' exam, 'second' exam, or 'supplementary' exam that could replace the word 'compartmental' while 'failed' can be with 'unqualified' or 'not qualified'.

With the introduction of this new policy, CBSE aims to give some relief to the students who won’t handle the pressure and even decide to commit suicide.

Therefore, CBSE has planned to nix ‘Failed' word from its marks sheet and save students from any kind of mental pressure.
