A shocking and surprising news for the CBSE students who had appeared for the Class 12th examination this year. For some students, it must be good news while for some students it must be a tough phase. A recent news for the Class 12th Board students is that after the board results, students who were unsatisfied with their marks have applied for re-evaluation.
Surprisingly, more than 50 per cent students have scored more than 50 marks than their scored marks in the CBSE Class XII Board examination.
According to the reports of TOI, many students have faced problems. A student from Nagpur names Ishrita Gupta who has applied for the re-evaluation as she was not happy with her marks scored in Political Science. She had scored 95 marks in all other subjects. In the re-evaluation, it was found that 17 answers of Ishrita were incorrectly marked and after checking her scores increased by 22.
Reportedly, around 9,111 students have applied for the re-evaluation and out of the total 4,632 scored improved marks than the previous.
The common mistakes that come to light while checking the answers were that teachers had given zero marks even for the correct answers and not evaluating a series of answers.
According to the reports, CBSE has decided to take a strict action against at least 214 teachers for such blunders. Out of the total teachers, 81 teachers are under the Dehradun regional office and 55 under Allahabad. The candidates can apply for re-evaluation only after seeking re-totalling.
However, the board is planning to take some serious steps to prevent such big mistakes that occurred during this Board examinations.
Meanwhile, the question raised that whether the re-evaluated marks affect the previous ranks of the students. Because many students scored good marks than their previously scored marks due to which their rank also increased, said reports.
