Candidates who are going to appear for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12th Board exam then, there is an important information for you all that CBSE has introduced the major changes in the examination pattern of Class 12th English (Core) exam. Therefore, candidates will get the new question paper of English (core) subject from next year.
The changes have been made after the feedback received from the various stakeholders and subsequent deliberation in the meetings of Committee of Courses of the Board and subject experts.
As per the new pattern, candidates will have to answer two passages in Section A instead of three. The typology questions will also change. Among the two passages, there will be 5 MCQs, 9 very short-type questions and 3 short-type questions. Also, there will be two long question answer that has to be answered.
The examinee will have to answer 19 questions instead of 24 in Section A. the total marks allotted to Section A is 30 marks.
The major change also included that the total questions in the exam paper have reduced from 40 to 35.
CBSE has also made revised marking scheme and also released the sample paper for English (Core) exam on the official website. Students who are preparing for the CBSE English Board exam can check the sample paper on the website.
The new changes have been made to the examination pattern will be fruitful for those candidates who were having the complaints regarding the lengthy English question paper and also unable to finish theirs within the time allotted to them.
