Bihar Board Exam for class 10th and 12th has been concluded and now Board has come up with an idea to ensure fair evaluation process. The Bihar School Education Board, BSEB is likely to introduce a three-level answer sheet checking system.
The decision has been taken to ensure that there is no negligence in the evaluation. However, there is an acute shortage of teachers to participate in the three-level checking. Hence, the board is trying to find out the solution for the new process.
Notably, the three-step process will be applicable to each answer sheet of the student.
On 25 February 2020, teachers were required to report to the assessment centre but less than 50 percent of the teachers have marked their presence to the centre. According to the Patna District Education Office, 1200 teachers were supposed to participate in the assessment process, out of which 766 teachers came for their contribution.
As per the reports, most of the teachers are from the college itself. For the evaluation process, the board has installed 7 centres in Patna district for internal assessment. While 5-6 assessment centres have been set up in all the other districts. The centres have set up according to the number of students appeared on the board exam.
The internal assessment for the Bihar Board exam has been started on February 26, 2020. The copies will be checked from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm every day. CCTV cameras have been installed at every examination centre. Also, teachers will have to mark their attendance via biometric.
The three-level answer sheet process will include an examination of copies by the examiner; in the second step, a teacher will have to place the marks on OMR and the entry of digits on the computer by others.
