Haritalika Teej

The festival of Haritalika Teej, significant during the month of Sawan, is being celebrated today. On this day, a wife observes a fast and worships Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, seeking blessings for her husband's longevity and happiness. This tradition is believed to ensure a long and joyful married life.

In rural areas, preparations for the festival are underway with enthusiasm. The wife wears green clothing, adorns herself with green bangles, and applies mehndi on her hands. Devout worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati will be an integral part of the celebrations.
