Since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden demise, Kangana Ranaut has been raising her voice against the movie mafia in Bollywood. In an interview with a news portal, Kangana revealed some shocking details about what Sushant’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande told her about the late actor.
Kangana claimed that Ankita told her that Sushant was subjected to ‘so much humiliation’ in Bollywood, including negative press and professional isolation.
Kangana said that she had called her co-actress and dear friend, Ankita after Sushant’s death to know how Sushant was in real life.
“When I spoke to Ankita, she said right from the beginning, there was so much humiliation that he could not take it. This is how she summed it up,” Kangana told the Times of India.
'Auditions and Rejections made him a star':
Sushant made his debut in Bollywood from the television after ‘auditions after auditions, rejections after rejections’, Ankita told Kangana.
He also remained so grounded even after becoming a part of the film industry. However, he was so sensitive to how he was perceived by others, Kangana said what Ankita told her.
Manikarnika actress also added, “But one thing that she (Ankita) also said about him was that he was not thick-skinned.”
“Sushant would sit on Twitter when he was new and would fight with fans, asking ‘why did you think that about me? Why did you say that about me? I am not this person that you are saying.’ Ankita told me that she used to tell him ki abhi ye toh hoga na.”
Ankita told Kangana that Sushant could not take what people thought about him. She also said that the bad PR ganging up, which he could not take it. He had had enough.
'Sushant Singh was like Kangana Ranaut':
Kanaga said Ankita told her that Sushant was a lot like her. He was intellectual and was kept away from gossip, but he was passionate about his work.
“People like us, when we come from outside, we are enamoured by them. And that’s what even Ankita told me about Sushant.
Ankita told Kangana that Sushant was just like her, who also come from a small town and was dedicated towards his work only. She also said ‘the only difference was that he wanted to be accepted. You somehow have gotten over that urge.”
Kangana Ranaut also said that when she made her debut, she, too, wanted to fit in. “I went through that phase where I straightened my hair, I stuffed my lips with botox, I started to do films like Rascals, I wore a bikini – I wanted to be desperately accepted,” Kangana told TOI.
She also wanted to be on the cover pages of magazines. Also, wanted to win awards. “I was still B-grade and they did not accept me,” Kangana said.
