You don't expect this from those who are supposed to stop this. Shockingly, a railway signalman indulged in a dangerous act that posed a danger to the lives of those travelling the train. It was very fortunate for him and the passengers that no lives were lost. How the signalman survived is nothing short of a miracle.
The signalman crashed the car into the high-speed train at a level crossing at Rossington, just south of Doncaster. The train came to an emergency stop moments after the crash.
Drinking before the crash
According to reports, the 27-year-old signalman had been drinking at a local football club before he ploughed his car into the moving train.
First denies driving car
The signalman first claimed that his car was stolen and he was not driving the vehicle. But he later admitted he was driving the car.
Following on from the sentencing of Rochford below, as part of the #ProjectEDWARD action week raising awareness of dangerous driving practices we'd like to share the below footage of this incident with you.
