Man takes big decision as wife doesn't bathe daily

A strange case has been reported from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, where a Muslim man has sought divorce from his wife. He took this big decision as his wife doesn’t bathe daily.

The incident came to light when the woman filed a complaint with the Women Protection Cell as she wants to save her marriage.

According to media reports, the woman is from Kwarsi village while the man is from Chandaus village. The couple got married two years ago and has a one-year-old child.

As per News 18, the woman filed a complaint stating that her husband has given her triple talaq on the pretext of not bathing every day.

Meanwhile, the Aligarh Women Protection Cell is now providing counselling to the couple and their parents to save the marriage.

The counsellor told that the woman wanted to continue her marriage. On the other hand, the man wanted to end his terms with the woman. He also gave a written application to the cell and urged them to get a divorce from his wife as she doesn’t bathe daily.

In the petition, the man mentioned that they argue every day over the bathing issue.

However, the Women Protection Cell is trying to counsel the man so that he won’t take a divorce from his wife over a minor issue.

“ We are also trying to make him understand that their divorce can also affect the upbringing of their child," the counsellor said.

They have also given some time to the couple to think over their decision because it would affect their child as well.

The officials of the Cell further said that the divorce application doesn’t fall under any violent act or crime against women, therefore, the petition can’t be moved forward. Therefore, they are trying to resolve the matter by counseling the couple.
